The Hormuud Telecom Company has given details of an incident that took place today at the company’s headquarters in the Bakara market.
A statement from the company said that at around 7:30 this morning, two men with military uniforms came to Hormuud Telecom headquarters and wanted to withdraw money. One of the two men entered the headquarters. , while the other was waiting for them with a motorcycle. After checking, the company’s staff found out that the person did not have the number he wanted to send the money from and they refused to do the job for him.
Minutes later, they reportedly brought a girl to the center, and the girl said she had been kidnapped.
The dispute that arose there caused them to bring out their guns, and there was an exchange of fire between the armed men who came to the center and the guard of the center. One of the two men died there, and the other escaped from the scene.
The Somali police forces immediately contacted the company officials and handed over all the information.
